Tim Simonson

Tim’s practice covers all areas of family law including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, complex property division, paternity, domestic abuse, third-party custody and visitation rights, and adoption. In addition to advocating for his clients through alternative dispute resolution, motion hearings, and trial, Tim has successfully argued for clients’ rights at the appellate level, having set precedent on the question of interstate child support enforcement. Tim is licensed in both State and Federal Courts for the State of Minnesota. In addition to practicing law in the State of Minnesota, Tim (as a native of Winnipeg, Canada) is currently pursuing his Certificate of Accreditation in Canadian law.

Tim brings over ten years of family law experience to the firm, formerly practicing in Willmar, Minnesota. During his time in Willmar, Tim was often recognized for his dedication to quality representation and for representing the disadvantaged, having received multiple awards for outstanding Pro Bono representation in the Eighth Judicial District. Prior to private practice Tim served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Randall J. Slieter of the Eighth District.
